Anger Management Training Seminar


The National Anger Management Association (<http://namass.org> NAMA - the Anger Management Professionals Association) and <http://growthcentral.com> Growth Central will present a one day training event in New York City on May 7, 2005, (9:30 AM - 3:30 PM.

The Anger Management Training Seminar will held at the Hunter College School of Social Work, 129 E. 79 Street, 6 Floor - Distance Learning Center, New York, NY. Cost: $250.

Presenters:

1. Richard Pfeiffer, MDiv, LMFT - Director/Founder Growth Central, author of the Real Solution Anger Management Workbook. He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a
Psychotherapist, and a nationally Certified Group Psychotherapist. His psychological / theological training lay the foundation for his expertise in helping people work through their core conflicts. He is a Certified
Pastoral Psychotherapist graduating from the Blanton-Peale Graduate Institute (NYC). He holds a Masters Degree in Divinity from Drew University Theological School (cum laude) and a Masters Degree in Education from Temple University (cum laude). He is a Fellow of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors (AAPC), and Clinical Member of the American Group Psychological Association (AGPA).  An innovator in the development of Issue Focused Psychotherapy programs, Pfeiffer has provided psychotherapeutic services to individuals, couples and families for over twenty years. He is
the author of five Real Solution Workbooks and the bestselling <http://growthcentral.com/CreatingRealRelationships.htm> Creating Real Relationships.

2. Anita Bohensky, PhD - Director of the <http://wholechild.net/> Whole Child/Adolescent Center, author of the Anger Management Workbook for Kids & Teens. Dr. Bohensky is a graduate of New
York University where she received her Doctor of Philosophy in Developmental Psychology. Her training is extensive having received a Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy from the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health, New York, NY.  She is Director of the <http://wholechild.net> Whole Child & Adolescent Center, the Clinical Director of Growth Central, a Assistant Adjunct Professor and Supervisor at Columbia University Teachers College, a Training Analyst at Blanton-Peale
Graduate Institute, and a Supervisor at Postgraduate Center for Mental Health. Dr. Bohensky has been a Consultant in Learning Disabilities/ Attention Deficit Disorder/and Childhood Psychopathology at New York Foundling Hospital, at Abbott House, and at SUNY Learning Disability Division, NYC. She works with children, adolescents, and adults.

3. John Carr, CSW - Staff member of Growth Central. Mr. Carr is a graduate of Hunter College School of Social Work where he received his MSW. He is a highly trained Clinical Social Worker having received a post graduate Certificate in Psychotherapy from the Blanton-Peale Graduate Institute,
(NYC). Mr. Carr has also received further training in Anger Management and he has over 10 years of experience in helping people improve their life.

4. William Winter, MD - Dr. Winter is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. His work is with Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry.

This seminar provides the basic content requirement leading to the NAMA <http://namass.org/certification.htm> Certification in Anger Management.
