Design for All workshop 

A workshop on 'eAccessibility Legislation and Policy, the Role of Standardisation' will be held on 8 March in Florence, Italy.

The workshop will be on Legislation and Policy, related to the integration of citizens in the information society and focuses on how technological issues, and especially standardisation (or the lack of standardisation) of information technology, telecommunications systems and services influence laws and
policy making worldwide.

The workshop aims at producing a strategy for a better uptake of standards in the fields of assistive technology and design for all, and for an increased integration between people working in standardisation, legislators and policy makers.

The workshop is supported by the IST project D4All-net, which aims to set-up a thematic network in Design for All (DfA) in Europe, to promote and advance DfA practices in the Information Society.
