High-Level European eHealth 2005
Conference and Exhibition

The Norwegian Government has great pleasure in inviting you to participate in the third high-level Ministerial European eHealth Conference that will take place in Tromsø , Norway on 23 – 24 May 2005. The Conference and Exhibition is organised in collaboration with the Luxembourg Presidency of the EU and the European Commission. Participation is by invitation only. Deadline for registration is May 4.

The Conference will focus on how eHealth can be a major contributor in meeting a range of challenges and improving health services. It will provide an opportunity to review the launch, intermediate results, and upcoming year's activities of the European Union's eHealth Action Plan.

Within the context of the eHealth Action Plan, the Conference will focus on the role of eHealth in relation to three themes:

• Facilitating mobility within and between countries – meeting the challenges of increased mobility
• Supporting more responsive health services and creating greater public awareness through better health information
• Improving access to quality care, patient safety, and productivity

The Conference will have interpretation in English, French and German in the plenary sessions.

All delegates must register for the conference at the conference website http://www.ehealth2005.no . This includes hotel reservations. Please do this as soon as possible or at the l atest by May 4. Please consult the website for additional information concerning the Programme, the Exhibition and social events. The Norwegian Government will cover the lunches, the conference dinner and a number of social activities are free for all conference participants.
