Symposium "Enabling better care through sustainable
satellite-based Telemedicine Solutions"

EHTEL is pleased to announce an event in 2008 that should be particularly interesting for all health professionals. It will be held in Cannes (FR) on 5th March 2008 under the title: "Enabling better care through sustainable satellite-based Telemedicine Solutions". The particular interest of this symposium is that it will offer live demonstrations of telemedicine applications during which Health Professionals from France, Cyprus and Poland will discuss by videoconference the case of some patients.

The European HEALTHWARE Project is coordinated by ThalesAleniaSpace, and EHTEL is one partner in the Project.  The project utilises the light and cost effective DVB-RCS satellite technology to support interactive services like collaborative staff meeting, teleexpertise, teleconsultation, training, as well as the exchange of high volumes of image data.
