CALL FOR ABSTRACTS /PAPERS
Med-e-Tel 2008

 

You are cordially invited to join us at Med-e-Tel 2008 (16-18 April 2008) and its educational and information program of interactive seminars on eHealth, telemedicine and all possible ICT applications in medicine and healthcare. Organized by Luxexpo and supported by a wide range of national and international associations and institutions, this three day meeting and networking event brings together leading specialists to present recent achievements and developments in the field.

The areas covered will include (but are not limited to):

  • Bio-informatics and bio-medical technologies
  • Cost-benefit studies
  • Current eHealth realizations and projects
  • Developing countries and eHealth

  • Home monitoring, homecare applications
  • Innovations within eHealth
  • Legal and ethical aspects

Attendees are invited to submit abstracts related to these themes so they may have an opportunity to discuss their own work with leaders in the field. Abstracts will be published on the Med-e-Tel website and in the Med-e-Tel exhibition and conference guide. The educational and informational program takes place in the morning and afternoon during the three conference days. Detailed schedule will be available on www.medetel.lu.

Abstract submission: The abstract must be prepared according to these guidelines . Authors should submit a one page abstract before the deadline, i.e. by January 12, 2008   by e-mail to

Note:
Special registration fee for speakers!
Maximum two presentations are allowed per registration fee!

Full paper submission and publication:   F ull papers of accepted abstracts will be published (if received by February 25th, 2008 ):

  • In the Med-e-Tel 2008 electronic proceedings (CD-ROM) that will be available at the time of the event and that will be distributed as part of the registration fee.
  • In the "Med-e-Tel Vol. 1 - Global eHealth Updates" book. This book will not be part of the conference registration fee, but will be made separately available for purchase.

Please note that papers will only be considered for publication into the book after payment of the registration fee!

Language: Official language of the event is English.

Facilities   Facilities for projecting PowerPoint presentations are available in the conference rooms.

To prevent technical problems during Med-e-Tel 2008, after receiving confirmation of acceptance of your presentation, send a copy of your presentation to Med-e-Tel's Educational Program Coordinator, Dr. Malina Jordanova, at least 2 weeks before your talk (or even earlier), i.e. before April 1st, 2008! If the file is small enough, please send it by email to education@medetel.lu and confirm with Dr. Jordanova that a suitable media reader is available.
