Regions – The Key-players in delivering eHealth:
What can the “e” do for your region?

ERISA (European Regional Information Society Association) is organizing a Policy Seminar on eHealth that will  ellaborate on the role of regions for delivering eHealth products and services.  

The regions' perspectives of eHealth have been a main focus for the Project IANIS+, since regions are the most basic units in healthcare systems. The varieties of regions regarding policies, strategies, and action plans for eHealth have been both a driving factor for successful eHealth projects, and also challenges for the interoperability, integrity, standardization, and security. The eHealth working group of IANIS+ has studied many cases conducted in the regions.

In this seminar, we want to draw some conclusions about those varieties in relation to the factors that have contributed to a successful eHealth project, and also how the eHealth project could contribute to the regions sustainable development of knowledge based economy, and increased social quality in relation to citizens' well-being.”
