EU: Fact Sheet on CIP Entrepreneurship & financial instruments recently published

7 Mar 2009

The European Commission recently published a fact sheet on the financial instruments of the Cooperation and Innovation Framework Programme 2007-2013 (CIP).
Nearly one third of the budget of CIP is allocated to financial instruments that aim to facilitate the access of Small and medium enterprises (SME) to financing. However, it might be difficult for these enterprises to access these instruments. One of the reasons for this is that these instruments are implemented by the European Investment Fund and other selected financial institutions. In addition, the financial instrument available depends on the stage of development of the enterprise.
This short fact sheet helps to identify financial instruments and includes links to the Web site where the necessary information can be found.
