History...

  • The Fondamental Expo team brings together men and women with a wide range of complementary or contrasting skills and experiences, businesspeople from the world of trade fairs and with a passion for research, innovation and economic development.
  • In response to the expectations of the European Commission and to the initiatives and declarations of the government on the subject of research and innovation, the Fondamental Expo team was created in 2004 as an entity independent of all public and private research organizations.
  • The European Research & Innovation Exhibition came into existence as the original work of Fondamental Expo. There is nothing of the kind anywhere else in Europe.

Fondamental Expo, with the sponsorship of the European Commission (DG Research) and the French Senate and Ministry for Research, is organising the "European Research & Innovation Exhibition" to be held in Paris (France) on 5th-7th June 2008.

The Exhibition aims to bring together the major European players in scientific, entrepreneurial and institutional circles, as well as the general public, to explore science-related R&D and R&I subjects.

In 2007, Visitor's distribution in terms of Sectors had the higher percentage in the following Sectors:

  • Data processing, services, consultant, engineering & design : 17%
  • Health, pharmaceuticals, biology: 17%

2007 Visitor's distribution in terms of Functions:

  • Scientist : 24%
  • Entrepreneur: 5%
  • General public, student: 14%
  • Engineer: 24%
  • Investor: 6%
  • Company chairman: 9%
  • Business plan: 18%

The role of the Scientific Committee
Members of academies, university and higher education professors, directors of big industrial groups, researchers, financiers, journalists and writers knowledgeable about the scientific world
