“Master Class”: Detailed Clinical Models -DCM

We are honoured to offer you the opportunity to participate in a Master Class and Workshop about Detailed Clinical Models (DCM). In the developments of e-Health / Health care information technology solutions information exchange becomes a crucial component. Semantic interoperability is essential. We define semantic interoperability as the electronic exchange of clinical information that allows the receiving clinicians to make the right decision and to choose safe and effective treatment for their patients.

DCM specifies medical content, where available evidence based. In DCM data elements are expressed and mapped to unique codes. These codes are Snomed CT and/or LOINC, in addition other code systems are taken into account, such as ICD or ICNP.

During the morning session, the Master Class will offer you insight in the background of DCM.
In the afternoon session you will work in small groups to learn creating DCM.

The Masterclass and the Workshop are organized and presented by Results 4 Care. Dr. William Goossen and Anneke Goossen-Baremans and their colleagues have been offering this Master Class in the Netherlands four times in the past year, in close cooperation with the Dutch IT in healthcare vendor association (OIZ) and the National Institute for IT in Healthcare (Nictiz).
