2011 E-Health Symposium:
Working Towards a New Holistic Healthcare Plan for Europe

Health professionals face new and evolving challenges, such as ageing populations, personalized healthcare requirements and new regulations, whilst adjusting to financial pressures and ever increasing public expectations.

The symposium, organized by the “Centre for Parliamentary Studies,” will take place on 23 and 24 March 2011 in Brussels and is chaired by John Wilkinson, Chief Executive of Eucomed.
John will help address the current challenges and look at the latest technological developments, including management of patient treatments, electronic prescriptions, digital medical imaging, electronic medical records and data security, with a view to improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare across Europe.

The symposium will address how new medical technologies can be used intelligently for the benefit of both the health sector and patients alike, by supporting new healthcare business models, and improving the productivity and management of healthcare systems.
