The project focused on the promotion of the use of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) in the health sector, by means of identification, evaluation and integration of the initiatives that have been developed in the frame of data interchange standards in Europe and, complementarily, the dissemination of them at conferences, seminars and workshops. The promotion and awareness activity of EDI in health care, the opportunity to bring the importance of EDI to health authorities stressing its main benefits, and a higher motivation to learn about the developments of EDI through experiences from other countries were some of the achivements.
