SAMMIE deals mainly with research, teaching and clinical purposes in neurology. As new sophisticated techniques are entering the medical field of images, they offer solutions for storage, communication, retrieval and analysis. In using the available facilities, SAMMIE provides software for an integrated medical workstation: Brainworks, a full digital Brain Atlas to assist Radiologists and Neuroclinicians in using medical images (CT, MRI, MR Angiography) and time related signals (EEG, MEG, MR Spectroscopy). At the end it will be an "electronic book", which could be easily and continuously up-dated according to the user's experience and needs. SAMMIE is managed by BULL who has a genuine interest to use the project's results commercially during and after the project. The other industrial partners share this interest.
