WP06 - QUALITY MANAGEMENT

Background

For the external assessment of EHTO-activities, QM-principles has been defined and assessment criteria selected. These principles are also helping the project and project management to proceed team working (commitment to EHTO-work, shared visions and workplans) and thus increasing the Quality of work.

Objectives and rationale

By applying a quality management methodology, verifying that the service offered corresponds to the requirements and standards of the users of the Observatory.

Description

As described in the D.06.1, the further work will be monitoring the quality of EHTO-service from technical and user perspective. For the second and third year the work will be defining the methods how to gather the information for the assessment criteria in detail with all the partners (who is going to provide what). It will also include decisions where the updated data will be stored and in which format.

The monitoring of the quality will be given as a feedback to project partners on certain intervals (e.g. on PMB-meetings every second month, where a special item "QM" is on every agenda).

The QM-mechanism is to assist the project in achieving the goals and going beyond them. Therefore QM will "advise" the normal PM-activities having close co-operation with Project Manager.

In the project run, also the possible modifications of the project and new trends/discoveries will be taken into account
