Project Nr: HC 1105 Group: VII Project Duration: 15 months
Key words:
Category:Health Telematics Project Reports
Summary: Compile the planned health care telematics projects in the EU in a data base. Evaluate this data base with similar data in the North American area.
Mission:HEALTHWATCH will survey telematics projects with clinical and health care applications, for a more effective allocation of EU resources in the field. A database of current projects in the EU, Norway and Switzerland will yield an appraisal of funding trends, project impact on quality care, and the adoption of innovative technologies. Industry and the health care sector will thus gain a better grasp of Member State developments, which is currently hindered by their very varied funding mechanisms. Project design has been sensitive to survey user needs, and a comparative summary for North America is also intended.
