First Call : Health Proposals related to I.2.1
Action line I.2.1 : Personal Health Systems (Petal
Citizens)
Type of projects : RS (R&D projects)
Proposals received: 24 Proposals selected: 5 EU Contribution for fundings: 11,267,569
€
The number
of proposal received is small as this domain is completely
new, and this number would be expected to increase in the
future. In particular, additional R&D activities should
be supported in the domain of health appliances and information
to the citizens for the maintenance of their health in the
work place, during leisure time, at home, etc. These activities
should support the new EU public health policies.
Project starting date: all projects started on 01/01/2000 CPA2: Cross Program Action 2 – Dependability

Internet is a completely open network putting all security components
(confidentiality, authenticity, integrity, availability) at
risk. The evolution and rapid change of the Web technologies
bring uncertainty and confusion The objectives of this project
(development and demonstration of tools for the harmonisation
of applied and emerging Web oriented security systems in telemedicine)
is a challenging task that can only be achieved within the
framework of an international and targeted co-ordination
